Lost Dog Finds Her Way Home After Trekking 9 Days And 35 Miles Through Wilderness

An 8-year-old dog called Georgia went missing when Kris Anderson, 64, her human, went to hike. The hike was in a rough district in Southern California. Kris, an experienced hiker, said that on 27th of June, she took Georgia and her other dog to the Los Penasquitos Canyon Preserve.

She told ABC News that she heard Georgia barking and the ran off, she also added that she did that for 2 times before, but she’d come back.

The Shar-Pei mix knows 1 or 2 about surviving, as she was a rescue dog from Hurricane Katrina. Georgia knew that she must have put her astonishing skills to get back home. She walks about 35 miles for 9 days and get back home sound and safe.

Anderson said the she had lost faith after 9 days, and she couldn’t believe her eyes when Georgia was home, she just lost a few pounds and she was dehydrated because of the long way. She also added that Georgia for her is not just a dog, she is her baby.
