Baby Koala Hugs Its Unconscious Mom During Life-Saving Surgery

This is the moment a 6-month-old baby koala called Phantom stayed by his mother’s side while she was having life-saving surgical procedure.

The momma koala called Lizzy was struggling with a collapsed lung and some face injury after being struck by an automobile in Australia.

Luckily Phantom was unhurt, and as he was so young, team believed it would certainly be best to leave him with his mom.

Phantom set down on his mum’s neck, providing her constant cuddles, and it seems like his hugs sufficed.

“Phantom is with Lizzy throughout her treatments as well as exams to make certain neither mom nor bub gets stressed,” healthcare facility staff told the ABC.
