She was starving and extremely malnourished, but barely got to eat since she had to fend for herself to find food. Crusty mange had taken over her entire body, leaving behind little to no hair.

She was very miserable and had given up hope on living a life she deserved. But this wouldn’t be the end of her story. Luckily she was rescued by Dumaguete Animal Sanctuary.

She was scared and confused, but she felt at ease knowing that she would no longer have to live out on the streets by herself.

They rushed her to the vet, where she thankfully tested negative for distemper, but she still had a long road to recovery ahead of her.

Despite everything she had been through, she was still very sweet and allowed vets to do whatever they needed to to help her.

Vets knew it wouldn’t be a good idea to keep her at the shelter, as her immune system was very weak, so they found a loving foster for her to stay with while she continued to heal.

Peanut was thriving and luckily had a good appetite, which was a great sign. She craves affection and attention and loves everyone she meets.

Peanut has already come such a long way – from starving alone on the streets to being spoiled and sleeping in a warm bed at night.

She has even been adopted by a woman who treats her how she deserves to be treated.

After just three weeks in her new home, Peanut was already looking like a brand new dog. As the mange healed, her fur began to grow back in to reveal just how beautiful she is.
