Puppy Rescued On The Brink Of Death Makes An Incredible Transformation

A little puppy was nearing his d3athbed when help arrived. Rescuers saved the sweet dog from its n3glectful owners and the transformation he made is incredible.

A small girl, presumably a daughter of the puppy’s owners, carried the 2-month-old dog to Sidewalk Specials for care.

She knew the little pup needed help, but she may not have realized how dire the situation was.

According to a video shared by the rescue organization, the tiny white dog, fittingly named Lamb, was on the brink of death.

After assessing the pup and seeing his home situation, the organization decided the best action would be to take the dog into their care. At his home, Lamb was left out in the weather without proper shelter, and though his life was barely beginning, he wouldn’t survive much longer if they left him there.

They said in the caption of the video, “Wherever possible we keep pets with their township owners, however, in Lambs case he was too far gone.”

Lamb did have a sibling and mother at the same property, and they were able to be fixed and received warm kennels to sleep in. However, Lamb needed emergency veterinary care that he wouldn’t be able to receive with his owners. It was clear that his body was shutting down and he needed help and fast.

The little dog was taken to Cape Town for emergency treatment, where he was diagnosed with exposure and ehrlichiosis – an infectious disease that can lead to lameness, neurological problems, blindness, and blood cell production failure, according to VCA Hostpials.

Lamb’s prognosis wasn’t good, but his caretakers weren’t ready to give up on him yet, and it turns out that he had a fighting spirit, too.

After a short time in a foster home, with warmth and plenty of love, Lamb began to make real improvements. He began eating more, wagging his tail, and eventually started to bark and play!

Once he was strong enough, little Lamb was put up for adoption and found a loving forever home. He now goes on a lot of fun adventures with his new parents and seems to be living his best life.

It’s hard to believe he’s even the same dog! Lamb just goes to show that a little determination and a lot of love can make a world of difference, even the difference between life and death.
