Rescued dog refuses to sleep for fear of being hurt
The moment when a pet is freed from the sadness and hunger it experienced on the streets can be thought of as the happiest of all, but this is not always the case.
Like humans, each creature has his own individual self-improvement process. And it takes different times to leave his past behind or not.
Each being carries wounds that are not easy to bear.
Some people have suffered too much to forget all their nightmares in one day. And that is a little bit what the puppy in the following story is experiencing.
On behalf of this spotted mutt is Buddy. He was recently released from the needs of the street by a good Samaritan named Megan Quiroz. Unfortunately, the dog’s adjustment process was not as easy or quick as she thought.
There have been so many years of homelessness and so much calamity and mistreatment that the dog has had to suffer, that even in a small house he remains alert.
Buddy isn’t a violent dog, but he’s fearful.
In a post shared by the young woman on her TikTok account, the dog is seen sleeping on his feet. Buddy struggles with the dream for fear that someone will hurt him.
“How do I explain to him that he has to sleep, that he is no longer on the street and does not have to be alert? That he can sleep in peace because he finally has a home”, Megan wrote in the video.
The poor creature is scared, fighting sleep, although his fatigue is noticeable. The recording also shows the love of Megan, who has a blanket for him so that the puppy can sleep warm and not get cold.
The moment breaks your heart because he is not a spoiled dog who wants to avoid rest, but an abused furry with a stormy past that still haunts him.
It seems that all this is insufficient, as Buddy struggles not to fall asleep
Buddy is scared and will not be taken away from him overnight. But like him there are many other furry friends who have gone through a long process of adaptation where only love saves them. This mommy will have to be patient and, with love, win his trust.
The good news is that in a recently shared video you can see the progress of this furry fellow:
Megan will have to wait a while for poor Buddy to get fully used to the house and know for sure that there is no longer any danger to fear. But all this will only be possible with the love and care she gives him herself.
Buddy represents the face of so many dogs with a difficult past. Share your story and help us raise awareness so that more animals are rescued.
