Abandoned To A Life Of Pain A Rare Cat Shows Up Out Of Nowhere, Going Through The Garbage Cans Looking For Scraps

One day, out of the blue he just showed up! Looking very different from all the other stray cats in the area, he was trying to survive on scraps of food from the garbage cans, writes kittencatpost.

Saint Francis Society Animal Rescue arrived at the scene to check on this strange cat and evaluate his needs. He had been seen near an apartment complex, no one in the area had ever seen him before?

Someone spotted the cat and the “Cat Man,” Chris arrived. There were too many people for the strange cat’s comfort, he refused to come closer, even when food was placed before him. He was clearly in discomfort, in a lot of pain, so Chris decided to come back the next day and see if he could trap him.

The next day Chris returned and set a trap.

With fewer people around the cat’s hunger overcame his fear and entered the trap and ate the food Chris had set as bait.

Upon closer inspection, it was clear to see this was nothing other than the extremely rare “Werewolf” Cat.

Finding one of these rare cats living as a stray at this age is almost unheard of. It is more likely he was abandoned by his owner.

Chris says: “Firstly his claws were very ingrown and infected, so they trimmed them as far back as they could and soaked his paws in iodine to work on the infection.

His ears were also infected, so while he was mildly sedated they thoroughly cleaned them and put medicine in them… he has dental issues, only has 6 teeth left and will need future dental work, he also has conjunctivitis hence the eye drops.

They gave him an antibiotic shot and he’s congested too so we will be starting him on meds for that.”

It’s a mystery how he ended up on the streets, either he was dumped by his owner or the family of his owner after he/she passed away or he escaped?

The vet guesstimated his age to be between 8 and 10 years old.

Thanks to the help of Chris and the St Francis Society Animal Rescue, he is now with a caring foster parent, luckily for him, the second half of his life will be lived in luxury surrounded by people who love him!
