His Condition Was So Bad, He Barely Had The Energy To Lift His Head
A homeowner finds a very sick stray kitten that has wandered into his yard, writes kittencatpost.
To begin with, he cares for the kitten. But, as time goes by, the kitten gets sicker and sicker, to the point where he could barely lift his head! So the man decides to ask for help.
Contacting rescuers he tells them that “he just wants the kitten gone.”
So a husband and wife team arrives at his house to rescue the struggling young feline.
What they found broke their hearts.
Behind a pile of garbage, barely able to move, was a very sick ginger tabby. So sick, when the rescuers placed some food before him, he could barely move!
Worse still, even when he smelled the food, he showed no interest at all.
When she picked him up, all the rescuer could feel was skin and bone. It also looked like he had lost his tail.
Unfortunately, the vet was closed on Sunday, so she gently placed him in a pet carrier and took him home, hoping he would survive the night.
For the first time in his life he felt loved!
The next morning she was very pleased to see he was still alive, so she rushed him to the vet.
There the vet found he was riddled top to toe with fleas, so he immediately received treatment for that, as well as being treated for the wounds around his tail.
Then Jules, as Cheryl named him, was on his way back to his new home, where after his treatment and continued medication, he began to flourish.
For the first time in his life, he was safe, and more importantly, loved.
He began to play, cuddle with his new cat brother and his dad.
As the days went by things just got easier and easier for Julius.
So much so, that when Cheryls son Robert came by, he fell in love with the tailless cat right away. To the point where he offered to adopt Julius.
It quickly became apparent what Julius thought of Robert too, and he quickly became part of Roberts’s family.
The best part being, the cat quickly became a Saints fan, having no trouble sitting in front of the TV watching a game with his Dad.
