5-Year-Old Boy Reunites With Stolen Puppy
A 5-year-old boy named Noah was devastated after his puppy was stolen from his backyard.
Sharnee Pocock, of Lara, in Geelong, Australia, gave the three-month-old American Staffordshire terrier to Noah as a present on his fifth birthday. They named him Jacky Boy, and he and Noah became fast friends.
So when the pup went missing on October 14th, Noah was heartbroken.
“He’s hurting,” Pocock said about Noah. “He gets into bed every night and says, ‘I wonder where Jacky Boy is, I wonder if he’s cold.’”
The family has security cameras around their house, but the footage revealed nothing about how the pup went missing.
Pocock offered a $4,000 reward for the stolen dog.
“I’m not a rich person, it’s not like we have this kind of money but I will give (it) up,” Pocock said. “He’s not just a dog to us, he’s family. My son is so attached to this dog, he’s so upset that he’s gone.”
A couple days later, they found out that the dog had been dumped on the side of the road. A passersby found him and took him home for the night, and on October 18th, the Pocock family was reunited with him the next day.
Noah was ecstatic to have his BFF back, and Jacky Boy seemed pretty stoked, too!
