Homeless Mama Dog Kisses Her Puppies One By One As Rescuer Pulls Them To Safety

As a violent thunderstorm hit South California, the rescuers from “Hope For Paws” set out to save a homeless mama Pit Bull who had just given birth to 8 puppies, writes ilovemydogsomuch

A family had been trying to help the Pit Bull for several days, but she was too skittish and wanted to avoid any human contact. When the rainstorm worsened, the family eventually contacted the rescue for help.

In this video, we see a rescuer approaching the mama dog while she is sheltering her puppies in a tiny den. As the raindrops heavily patter outside, the mama dog gets terrified when she sees the stranger reaching his hand out toward her. However, she doesn’t escape as she doesn’t want to leave her puppies alone.

The rescuer knows the Pit Bull could easily bite his hand if he snatched her puppies away abruptly. So he begins talking to her in a calm tone and assures her that he is here to help. The mama dog is in a dilemma as she wonders how to deal with the stranger, but she gradually decides to trust him and let him handle her puppies!

We watch in awe as the rescuer asks the mama dog to kiss her puppies while he pulls them out one by one. That way, the Pit Bull remains hopeful and never sees him as a threat! Thanks to this thoughtful gesture, the dog and her puppies finally find save haven in the rain!

The mama dog has been christened as Rainbow while her puppies have been named Thunder, Breezy, Misty, Raindrop, Flash, Bolt, Stormy and Droplet. What an extraordinary way to commemorate this spirited rescue in the storm! We’re sure they will all find the nicest forever homes soon!
