A worker named Darryl who works at an apartment complex in South Carolina got suspicious when he heard disturbing cries of a puppy coming from nearby. Soon, the man discovered some sadistic teens shooting Brody, a 6-week-old Labrador mix, with a BB gun while also throwing a knife at the terrified creature. The man immediately reported the violent incident to the cops and somehow managed to rush the bleeding puppy to the hospital.

The staff at the Ebenezer Animal Hospital ran X-rays to assess Brody’s situation. They were horrified to find 18 BB gun pellets lodged across the puppy’s wee body. The heartless teens were clearly using Brody as target practice. The vet was able to stop the bleeding, but sadly there was no way to remove the gun pellets without risking the fragile puppy’s life.

Thankfully, Brody made a miraculous recovery after weeks of intensive care! While antibiotics stabilized his condition, the staff worked hard to pull him out from the mental trauma following the abuse. It was established that the gun pellets will remain littered in his body as the skin around the wounds had already healed. However, this wouldn’t stop the puppy from living a normal life.

After investigation, Rock Hill Police Department has arrested 17-year-old De’Monte Ty’Juan Douglas and another 14-year-old (juvenile’s name has been kept under wraps) for felony animal cruelty. The duo apparently tortured Brody “without reason”, and are now awaiting their court trial. As for Brody, the hospital has updated that the puppy was adopted into a good forever home after making a complete recovery. We’re so happy that Brody has found love now!
