+8 Pics Of Tiny Pet Owl Using Mushroom As Umbrella During Rainstorm
Poldi the owl isn’t a fan of rainstorms, but that won’t stop him and his owner, photographer Tanja Brandt from getting the perfect photo.
During one of many outdoor adventures with the artist and her pet owl, it began to drizzle and Poldi took cover under a little mushroom.
It was at this precise moment that Tanja took the adorably unique photo. It was Poldi’s tiny size that made it that little bit more precious.
“I got him when he was five months old. He didn’t want to come out [of] his egg and he was very small, the smallest,” said the photographer. “His six sisters were all hatched, and as he was the last to be born, days after the others, he was very small.”
Other than his six sisters, Tanja also owns a Harris Hawk named Phnix, a white-face owl fittingly named Gandalf, a snow owl named Uschi, and finally Poldi’s best friend who is a German shepherd called Ingo.
“I am always outside with my camera and with my animals. So we get to walk together, have fun, go on adventures, have little breaks… We take some pictures and after the animals can play again as we keep going.”
“I know my animals very well and I can see their state of mind. If I go out with just one of my animals, the others get antsy and want to be with us. We have a lot of fun together.”
“I love the beauty, power, loyalty, courage and friendship of animals. Many people could learn from them.”
