Luckily for her, Ponzu, the golden retriever and his owner Jessiepon stepped up and decided to adopt her.

She was lacking the nutrition she needs as her mother wasn’t able to provide, so her new family began with nursing her back to full health.

Ichimi has taken surprisingly well to her guardian. When I say guardian, I mean Ponzu, the golden retriever.

The two are inseparable, playing together all the time. Ponzu even sleeps and cleans together with Ichimi. As you can see from the pictures below off Jessiepon’s Instagram account, Ichimi is gaining more strength by the day.

The two then quickly became inseparable

Jessiepon and Ponzu were heartbroken after their beloved cat Wasabi recently passed away, so Ichimi definitely proved them with some much needed respite.

We’ve seen many examples of interspecies animal relationships here at Kingdoms, most notably the tender relationship between a dog and owl.

So we know that animals don’t discriminate against species. If someone needs love, they will provide it. We all have something to learn.
