Family Chained Dog With Large Tumor All Her Life & Didn’t Even Give Her A Name

Animal rescuer Viktor Larkhill set out to a distant town to rescue a dog who was suffering from a huge tumor. The dog was a sweet Fox Terrier apparently chained to a wall all her life. But when Viktor and his team arrived at the location, the dog’s unimaginable suffering caught them off guard.
The dog was chained in a scrappy junkyard filled with machines and tractor wheels. Her owner never bothered to name her and left her confined in the concrete prison a long time ago. She was a despicable entity to her owner, who clearly didn’t have an ounce of care for her. Even so, the dog wagged her tail and begged for love every time she saw humans approaching her.
By the time Victor found the dog, she was dying from the prolonged neglect. She would writhe in pain every time he touched the growing tumor on her back. But despite her agony, she was ecstatic when Victor reached out to her with compassion. Victor was on the verge of tears as he freed her from her chained existence and brought her to his recue car.
Victor named the dog Maria and took her to the hospital for a through medical examination. The vet removed the heavy chain weighing her down before initiating her scans. Maria’s health was terribly pitiful and it was determined that Maria needed an emergency surgery to remove her tumor.
Over the next few months, Maria had to undergo several procedures to remove multiple tumors from her body. It was a draining physical experience for her, but she endured it all like a brave girl because of her caretakers who loved and supported her endlessly. However, the vet eventually discovered a tumor growing close to her heart, which was a ticking time bomb.
The tumor beside the heart was unfixable and it slowed down Maria’s breathing. The rescue team realized she didn’t have much time left, so they focused on giving her the best life in her remaining months. For the next 18 months, Maria lived a pampered and carefree life with her elderly foster mom, before succumbing to her illness.
Maria’s life was wickedly unfair no matter how we see it, but we are glad that she got a taste of love and comfort in her final days. We hope Maria is pain-free and happy in her heavenly abode, far away from the miseries of this world. Rest in peace, dearest girl.
