A moving scene happened in front of a house in San Antonio, Texas. Unfortunately, no one was there to see it but a security camera captured every second.
“The dog walks with his owner until something happens that makes him feel very helpless,” said Lisa Norwood, a spokeswoman for Animal Care Services.
The woman who walks with the dog stops at the entrance of a house and places a plastic bag full of treats on the floor to distract him.
The dog is distracted while his owner ties his chain to the metal tube of a basketball basket. He even shakes his tail with enthusiasm. But when the woman starts to walk away, the dog’s cheerful, carefree attitude suddenly changes.
“The happiness you have becomes confusion and then you fear when your human moves away. He does not know he’s being abandoned and tries to escape, you can see him tangled in that belt, struggling to reach the woman,” Lisa said.
The owner of the house had just left and returned shortly after to find the frightened animal cowering in the yard. There was no note or clue as to why they had abandoned him.

The pit bull, later called Takis, was taken under the care of Animal Care Services, where he impressed everyone with his sweetness and also were perplexed because they did not know how someone would leave him so easily.
“Takis is the sweetest dog, playful and wonderful. He was in the kennels for about 24 hours when someone came, she saw how sweet and cute he was. and filed an application for adoption for him, “said Norwood, a shelter official.
After Takis is neutered, has a microchip deployed and is up-to-date with his vaccines, he is ready to go to his new home. Meanwhile, authorities are still looking for the person responsible for their abandonment. And they hope that this beautiful dog can leave behind the traumatic experience that happened next to the woman she loved the most in the world.
Fortunately, Takis has a lot of energy and a lot of love to give. And with the right family he will never have to worry about where his walks will end. Our best wishes are with him.
This is another example of how painful it can be for a pet to be abandoned.
