Serafin Montoya’s family was completely worried when Capone, their sixteen-year-old pit bull had accidentally escaped from their home.
Fortunately, a good Samaritan called Todd MacDonell found the Pit Bull wandering the streets in Fenton, Michigan and took him to a nearby shelter to stay there till his parents were found.
The shelter scanned a microchip for the dog and they found nothing, so, Todd posted on Facebook about Capone. The post was seen by a friend of Capone’s owners who gave Todd the phone number of Capone’s dad.
Then, Todd called the shelter and gave them the details of Capone’s owners. But when the family contacted the shelter after knowing that Capone was there, they were completely shocked to know that he had been already euthanized!
How can they euthanize a dog after less than 3 hours from being brought in! The shelter should have waited a while to see if anyone came asked about Capone as he was wearing an orange harness which meant that he was a pet!
We hope that accidents like this never happen again as Capone’s family is devastated after losing their dog.
